Tax review

Fees for the purchase of a building:

• Up to 4,000,000 HUF you pay 2%
• From 4,000,001 HUF you pay 4%

Example of taxes to be paid after the purchase of an apartment of 20,000,000 HUF.

• From 0 to 4,000,000 HUF = 80,000 HUF
• From 4,000,001 HUF to 20,000,000 HUF = 640,000 HUF
• Total Tax payable = 720,000 HUF


Legal fees / notary

The lawyer fee is  between 0.50% and 1% calculated on the value of the property purchased. The percentage varies depending on the value of the investment. The fee includes the signing of the purchase contract, mortgage and legal checks, registration with the Bureau of Land Registry.
